Giving Back

We believe wholeheartedly that the only reason we are able to live freely in the United States is because of the great sacrifices made by the brave men and women serving within the U.S. military. It was important to us to find an organization whose heart was in the same place as ours when trying to find a way to give back to the military community, which is why we’ve chosen to donate a portion of our net proceeds to Folds of Honor.

Folds of Honor is a nonprofit organization that helps provide the families of fallen and disabled service members educational scholarships. These families have made a sacrifice that most of us will never be able to fully understand, and they deserve so much more than we can offer. We invite you to learn more about Folds of Honor by clicking here to read more.

History of the Jeep, a War Hero

The Jeep was created in 1941 with a very special purpose in mind: to win a war. That’s right. The Jeep is among the most awarded and honored veterans of the United States military from World War II. You might’ve known that already, and if you did, good for you! You’d be surprised how many people don’t know that simple fact.

After many trials and errors by different companies, the Jeep was perfected by Willys-Overland, which created the Willys MB, which served well in the military from 1941-1945, quickly replacing horses and motorcycles that were previously used and often credited as one of the main reasons the U.S. won the war. One of the MBs was even awarded a Purple Heart and sent home.

From there, the CJ-2A was created, which was the first Civilian Jeep available to U.S. citizens. As years went on, different models were tested and manufactured, eventually leading us to the Jeep Wrangler that we all know and love.

When you drive a Jeep, you are driving a great piece of American history, whether you realize it or not. The capabilities and so well-known 4x4 power within our vehicles today originated all the way back then. Pretty cool, huh? We think so.
